NOB-Narayanapet news: A huge fire broke out at Basaveshwara Ginning and Cotton Mill near Wadwat village of Maganur mandal of Narayanapet district.The mill was burnt due to a short circuit that happened early morning on 24.03.2024. The cotton bundles in the mill and the seeds brought for ginning got burnt due to sudden fire.The laborers of the next rice mill noticed this and told the matter to the owner. The owner immediately informed the police and fire personnel.A large number of fire engines and other water tankers were called from Narayanapet and Maktal to control the fire from spreading to other mills.Along with the mill, seeds and cotton brought for ginning were completely burnt. The owner of the mill said that the loss was around Rs.8 crore. To this extent, the police have registered a case and are collecting details.
