From 3 am on 26.04.2025, Ahmedabad Crime Branch, SOG, EOW, Zone 6, and headquarters teams have conducted a combing operation to catch foreign immigrants living illegally in Ahmedabad city. During this operation conducted for Pakistani citizens, more than 400 suspected immigrants have been revealed. All of them tried to continue as Indian citizens by creating fake documents in the state. Ahmedabad Crime Branch DCP Ajit Rajian said that their hideout has been uncovered in the latest checks. The authorities have identified that most of them are Bangladeshi citizens. The rest are being detained and questioned as they do not have any documents. Meanwhile, the search operations for Pakistanis are continuing in major cities across the country as per the central decision.
