
NOB-Kakinada news: A gruesome incident has come to light in Kakinada district. A young man was murdered on suspicion that he loved his sister and his body was buried. This incident has created a stir locally. Going into details, Krishna Prasad, a resident of Nulakatattu, a resident of P. Vemavaram village in Kakinada district, lives in Hyderabad with his parents. He returned to the village twenty days ago. Krishna Prasad, suspecting that Kiran Karthik was talking to his sister on the phone a lot and that he loved her, reprimanded him. In this process, an argument broke out between the two. On the 24.06.2025, Krishna Prasad and his friend Dullapalli Vinod took Kiran Karthik to Jagananna Layout in Brahmanandapuram, promising to give him a party. There, they killed Karthik by hitting his head on the ground and slitting his throat. Later, the body was buried there and Krishna Prasad left for Hyderabad two days later. After Kiran Karthik went missing, his father Veera Venkata Ramana filed a complaint at the police station on the 27.06.2025. In the complaint, he stated that he left home after being reprimanded for giving too much money to the laborers. The police registered a missing person case and started an investigation based on the mobile number. Fearing that the matter would come to light, Krishna Prasad reached Samarlakota on 05.07.2025 morning, took Vinod and went to the VRO, confessed to the murder and surrendered. Based on the VRO’s complaint, the police converted the missing person case into a murder case. Karthik’s body was exhumed under the supervision of Tahsildar Chandrasekhara Reddy. The body had decomposed for ten days after the murder. A post-mortem was conducted there. Later, the police handed over the body to the parents. They wept bitterly and demanded that those responsible for their son’s murder be punished.
