NOB- Tolichowki news: On 28-07-2025, Tolichowki Police detected an attention diversion case (Cr.No: 92/2025, U/s 318(4), 305 BNS) and apprehended five accused. The case involved cheating the complainant, P. Sai Prasad Reddy, of ₹11.71 lakhs in a fake cryptocurrency deal.

𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: On 25-07-2025, the complainant reported that while attempting to purchase USDT cryptocurrency via Reddit, he was lured by suspects posing as sellers. At a travel agency in Paramount Colony, a group of men staged a quarrel to divert his attention and stole his cash. Another victim, Syed Niyamudin, was also cheated of ₹5.31 lakhs.

𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱: Includes individuals based in Hyderabad and one in Dubai, involved in crypto fraud and travel agency operations. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆: ₹7.55 lakhs in cash recovered.
