10 lakh stolen by breaking car windows

NOB- Jogipet news: A massive robbery took place in Jogipet municipal town in the early hours of 12.08.2024. The thieves broke the windows of the car parked in front of the police station and took Rs.10 lakh cash from the car. The details are as follows. Ravinder Reddy, a retired Electricity Department AD from Pothireddypalli village under Andol mandal, came to the SBI bank opposite the post office in a car on 12.08.2024 to withdraw money. His son, Sai Kiran Reddy, drew Rs.10 lakhs from his account with a self-cheque, came out of the bank, put cash in the side seat of the car, stopped the car on the side of the road to buy sweets in front of the police station, and went to a shop to buy sweets. Meanwhile, the unidentified thieves noticed this and broke the car window and took ten lakh cash from the car. When Ravinder Reddy approached the car, opened the door and saw no money, he immediately informed the police. CI Anil Kumar along with his staff reached the bank and examined the CCTV footage in the bank. A manhunt was launched to catch the thieves. According to the complaint of the victim Ravinder Reddy, the CI has registered a case and is investigating.
