NOB- Gudikunta news:  Gudikunta Thanda Gram Panchayat Special Officer (SO) Gugulath Gopal was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.6,000 from a complainant. Gopal, who is also an assistant engineer of Palakurthy Section Irrigation Sub-Division, demanded bribe from the complainant Banoth Yakub a farmer and former MPTC and a resident of Gudikunta thanda, to append his counter signatures as a special officer and to forward the fuel and other bills to STO, Kodakandla. The bribe amount was recovered from the dashboard of Gopal’s car. The surface of the car’s dashboard yielded a positive result in the chemical test, ACB officials said, adding that they produced Gopal before the special court for ACB cases in Warangal after which the court remanded them to judicial custody.
