NOB- Telangana news: According to the list of voters announced by the Election Commission (EC) in January 2023, the number has reached 2.99 crore. 71 percent are youth and women voters

The total number of voters in Telangana has reached 3 crores. 19 lakh voters have increased in the last five years. As of 2018 elections, there were 2.8 crore voters in the state. According to the list of voters announced by the Election Commission (EC) in January 2023, the number has reached 2.99 crore. It is noteworthy that 2.12 crore (71 percent) of the total voters are women and youth voters. According to the EC statistics, 2.78 lakhs of the total voters are in the age group of 18-19 years as per the current voter list. In the final voter list announced last January, 2.72 lakh voters were removed due to various reasons. 6.84 lakh people were newly admitted. To this extent, 34,891 polling stations have been set up in the state. Elections are expected to be held based on the final list announced in October 2023.

The people of the state got another chance to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections. EC has once again provided an opportunity to those whose name is not in the voter’s list and who want to change their vote to another area. From August 21st to September 19th 2023, an opportunity was given to add names to the list and make changes. Objections and applications will be considered from September 28th 2023. The final voter list will be announced on October 4th 2023 Anyone who turns 18 by October 1st, 2023 can apply for the right to vote.
