
NOB- Maddur news: District Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Vineeth IPS stated that the police have remanded a total of seven accused individuals in connection with an incident involving a minor girl at the ZPHS school in Mominapur village, Maddur Mandal. The SP explained that the prime accused (A1) in this case Chandepalli Swami, a government teacher hailing from Pedirapadu village misused his authority and behaved inappropriately with the girl. These actions were captured on CCTV cameras. It was further revealed that the CCTV cameras were installed by the second accused (A2), Gurnath Reddy (also a government teacher), while the third accused (A3), Karni Chennakeshavulu (another government teacher), concealed the video footage. Additionally, the other accused individuals A4 Gull Ravikumar, A5 B. Anand, A6 Vijay Kumar, and A7 Mekala Ravi were found to have engaged in acts such as concealing evidence, unauthorized sharing of the video, and attempting to broker a monetary compromise within the same village. The investigation into this case was led by DSP Nallapu Lingaiah, and the inquiry revealed that the prime accused had sexually assaulted the minor girl on multiple occasions. The SP confirmed that cases have been registered under the POCSO Act, the IT Act, and the SC/ST Atrocities Act against the prime accused and those who aided him, subsequently, the CCTV cameras and mobile phones were seized, and all seven individuals involved have been remanded. The SP emphasized that the safety of students in educational institutions within Narayanpet district is regarded as a matter of utmost priority. He appealed to the public to immediately inform the police should any such incidents occur anywhere, or to contact ‘Dial 100’, ‘112’, or ‘1098’ in emergency situations. The SP further warned that engaging in actions such as attempting private compromises instead of resolving issues through legal channels, or attempting to conceal criminal acts, would be treated as grave offenses, strict legal action would be initiated against any individuals found engaging in such conduct.
