NOB-Medchal news: Allegations that lecturers at Little Flower Degree College in Uppal, Medchal district, have been harassing a female student have created a stir. A student named Thirunayana, a resident of Kapra, accompanied by her mother, lodged a complaint with the Uppal police, alleging that she is being subjected to mental harassment. The victim, currently a third-year B.Sc. Data Science student, was frequently unable to attend college due to health issues. She stated that she had submitted medical certificates regarding her condition, continued to pay her tuition fees, and regularly appeared for her examinations. However, she expressed deep distress, alleging that lecturers have been targeting and harassing her since her very first year at the college. She further alleged that, in the past, they had shared photos from her mobile phone and spread false rumors tarnishing her character. In her complaint, she stated that when she recently fell ill again, the lecturers subjected her to immense mental stress by making inappropriate remarks, asking, “Who are you roaming around with instead of attending college?” The student’s mother has demanded that strict action be taken against those who harassed her daughter. The police have registered a case and have initiated an investigation.
