
NOB-Hyderabad news: The incident where an elderly couple was brutally murdered in Hyderabad’s Amberpet has created a local uproar. An elderly couple named Lingareddy and Urmila Devi reside in Amberpet Saibaba Nagar Colony. Lingareddy retired as a bank employee in Punjab National Bank. They have three daughters. All of them are settled in America. It is said that the elderly couple was brutally murdered by strangulation on the head. After coming to know about the matter, the police reached the spot and are investigating. An elderly couple lives on the ground floor of a three-storied building. The police found that Urmila Devi did not have four bangles on her hands and had a rubber cord around her neck. Police found that Urmila Devi was hit on the back of the head with a strong object. The police suspect that the elderly couple may have been killed by people who found them alone or by thugs who had come to steal. Two dead bodies were decomposed. The police suspect that the murders took place three days ago. The police shifted the dead bodies to the government hospital for post-mortem, registered a case and started investigation based on the CCTV footage of the surrounding areas.
