NOB-Amaravati news: The coalition government has given good news to farmers. AP CM Chandrababu made it clear in the banker’s meeting that loans should be given to the food grains farmers within 15 minutes. He said that a full investigation is being conducted into the irregularities committed during the previous YSRCP government. As part of the investigation, information will also be required from the banks and Chandrababu advised the bankers to cooperate by providing necessary information to the investigating agencies. AP CM Chandrababu participated in the state-level banker’s committee meeting held at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat on 10.02.2025. He made key instructions to the bankers, especially regarding the issue of farmers. Chandrababu directed that a system should be introduced to provide loans to eligible farmers within just 15 minutes if they come to the bank. He said that solar power should be provided to 20 lakh houses in a year under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme. Chandrababu Naidu said that free solar equipment up to 2 kilowatts will be provided to SCs and STs. Thus, in addition to generating free electricity, they will have the opportunity to earn some additional income through surplus electricity. Changes are also taking place in crop cultivation in AP. Food suppliers are leaning towards horticultural crops and other profitable crops. Natural farming, dairy and aqua sectors should be further promoted in the state. Banks should provide support to eligible farmers who come to banks for investment and encourage them. In Andhra Pradesh, we have given loans of up to Rs. 5.34 lakh crore to people belonging to various sectors in 204-2025 financial year. Union Bank CEO and MD Manimekhalai said at the state-level banker’s meeting that 99 percent of our target has been achieved. He said that out of the Rs.2.64 lakh crore loan target for agriculture, Rs.2.37 lakh crore and Rs.3.37 lakh crore in other priority sectors, Rs.3.26 lakh crore has already been disbursed. He said that in addition to Rs.79,905 crore in loans to the MSME sector, Rs.2.08 lakh crore has also been disbursed to the non-priority sector. He said that the WhatsApp governance recently introduced by the AP government has been very useful for crores of people.
