NOB- USA news: The United States has imposed sanctions on four Indian companies. The US State Department made this announcement on February 24, 2025. It said that these measures have been taken because these companies are involved in the trade of Iranian crude oil and petroleum products. According to information received from OFAC and the US State Department, these four Indian companies – Flux Maritime LLP of Navi Mumbai, BSM Marine LLP of the National Capital Region (NCR), Austinship Management Private Limited and Thanjavur-based Cosmos Lines_INC. Three of these four companies have been banned for being technical operators in the transportation of Iranian oil and petroleum products. However, Cosmos Lines has also been banned due to its role in the transportation of Iranian petroleum. In its statement, OFAC said that the list includes oil intermediaries from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Hong Kong, India, the People’s Republic of China, the head of the National Iranian Oil Company of Iran, and tanker operators and managers from the Iranian Oil Terminals Company.
