NOB- Amravati news: The government has decided to build a Srivari Temple in Amaravati to resemble Tirumala. The Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Amaravati will be developed into a prominent spiritual place with a huge rampart around the temple, a seven-story Maharaja Gopuram at the main entrance, five-story gopurams in three directions, maada streets, Pushkarini, and daily Kainkaryas and festivals for the Lord. Along with the capital construction work, the construction of the temple will also be undertaken in parallel. Rs. 185 crore will be spent for this. The then TDP government had decided to build the Srivari Temple in Amaravati seven years ago. At Venkatapalem, 25 acres of land has also been allocated between the main connecting road and Krishna Karakatta. It has been decided to build it at a cost of Rs. 150 crore. The TTD Board of Trustees also approved this proposal in 2018. The works were stalled after the YSRCP came to power a few years after the work started. The TTD limited the estimated cost of Rs. 150 crore to Rs. 36 crore, and was satisfied with the construction of the main temple, inner courtyard, a Rajagopuram, and Dhwajastambha Mandapa. Now, with the coalition government coming to power again, the construction of the temple has taken a step forward.
