NOB- Tirupati news: There are 7,790 TTD rooms, 1,105 Matha rooms and 6,800 lockers in Tirumala mainly for the devotees coming to Tirumala. Through these, it is possible to provide accommodation to only 55,000 people. The remaining devotees are facing difficulties. TTD has focused on the base camp project to meet these challenges. As part of Tirumala Vision-2047, a base camp was planned to be set up in Alipiri and the project was prepared with special care. 10 to 15 hectares of land will be used for this. The land previously given to various hotels was also cancelled and allocated to TTD, so the line for the base camp was cleared. With the green signal from CM Chandrababu Naidu on the establishment of this base camp in the recent review of TTD, the officials are hoping to complete the work quickly.  Plans have been prepared to provide accommodation for 25 thousand devotees with all the facilities. A special center will be set up to divert private vehicles reaching Tirupati from various places to this base camp and send the devotees who come to Tirumala through TTD and APSRTC electric buses. A model transfer terminal will be set up. Facilities like dining halls, lockers, etc. will be provided for the devotees to rest, take baths. In addition to accommodation allocation offices for the devotees, various types of counters will be set up here. There will be a museum, an art exhibition center, and various types of facilities to enhance spirituality. In addition to reducing vehicle pollution on the hill, there will be an opportunity to manage water and electricity consumption efficiently. The traffic problem will be solved. With this, efforts are being made to make this base camp available as soon as possible. Along with the facilities for the devotees, facilities are being provided at the base camp to reduce traffic congestion and pollution. Tirumala, which should have been in the silent zone, has moved into the commercial zone. It is also becoming difficult to provide water and electricity resources to the 20,000 locals and 68,000 devotees in Tirumala on an average daily basis.
