
NOB-Bhubaneswar news: Kunjam Hidma Maoist top leader Nambala Keshav Rao encounter incident was forgotten by Odisha police. Police said that Kunjam Hidma from Janaguda in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh has been arrested. Odisha police and District Voluntary Force teams have launched a special operation. In this order, the police arrested Hidma in the forests near Petaguda village under Boipariguda police station limits. Senior officials said that the police conducted a combing there after receiving specific information that Maoists were roaming in the area.While conducting a combing, the police encountered Maoists. This led to an exchange of fire between the Maoists and the police forces. However, many Maoists fled from there. Maoist Kunjam Hidma hid in the bushes there. The police arrested him. Later, police investigation revealed that he was a hardcore Maoist Hidma.Kunjam Hidma is currently an area committee member. Police said that they recovered an AK 47 rifle, 35 rounds of bullets, 27 electronic detonators, 90 non-electric detonators, 2 kg of gun powder, two steel containers, two radios, an earphone, a walkie-talkie, a battery, two knives, an axe, four torch lights, a polythene cover, and books related to Maoist literature from Hidma.Kunjam Hidma History, from Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh joined the Maoist organization in 2007 at the age of 14. He participated in many Maoist activities and became an Area Committee Member (ACM) in 2019. He is reported to have been involved in many Maoist conflicts in the states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. Police said that he was involved in seven major Maoist cases registered in Koraput and Malkanjari districts of Odisha.
