NOB-Chhattisgarh news: It is learnt that another major encounter took place in Bijapur district on 05.06.2025 morning. Several Maoists were reportedly killed in this encounter. Firing is ongoing in the National Park spread across the district.Security forces received information from intelligence sources that there was a large presence of Maoists in the National Park forest area. Following this, the security forces reached the area and started combing.Noticing this, the Maoists opened fire on the security forces. Following this, the security forces returned fire. It seems that it is still ongoing. However, the security forces say that several Maoists were killed in this encounter.It is learnt that a top leader was among them. It seems that the security forces have recovered some weapons along with the body of the top leader from the scene of the incident.The government is taking strategic steps under the name of Operation Kagar to eradicate Maoists from the country by March 2026 year. As part of this, hundreds of Maoists have been killed in several encounters in Chhattisgarh.
