In Kutch district of Gujarat, there were allegations that a female police officer was murdered by her boyfriend, a CRPF constable. The accused, Dilip Dangchia, went to the Anjar police station where the victim was on duty and surrendered. The woman, Arunaben Natubhai Jadhav, worked as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) at the Anjar police station in Kutch. Police said that 25-year-old Arunaben and her partner had an argument at their house in Anjar, during which she made derogatory remarks about his mother. Anjar Divisional Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) Mukesh Chaudhary said that Dilip, who got angry, strangled Arunaben to death in a fit of rage. The accused, who is posted in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Manipur, had been in a long-term relationship with Aruna and the two were planning to get married, police said. They met through Instagram in 2021 and have been living together since then. Police said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway into the incident.
