NOB-Kakinada news: Kakinada District SP G. Bindu Madhav IPS has issued orders to crack down on the illegal trafficking and sale of ganja in the district, and to keep a close watch on National Highway NH-216, conduct extensive vehicle checks and completely stop the illegal trafficking of ganja. SP G. Bindu Madhav, IPS., under the supervision of Peddapuram SDPO Srihari Raju, on07.11.2025 i.e. at 01.00 pm, while conducting vehicle checks on NT Rajapuram Road on the outskirts of Gandepalli village, a Maruti Swift car was seized and 3 male accused were taken into custody and 21.7 kg of ganja, 3 mobile phones, and 2,000/- cash were seized from them and a case was registered as NDPS. It is known from the preliminary information that 13 persons belonging to Jaggampet, Kirlampudi, Gandepalli, Samarlakota, Peddapuram mandals were involved in the collection and supply of ganja, and the above three accused along with these 13 persons are involved in the above case. However, further investigation will be done and appropriate action will be taken against these 13 persons as per the law. Jaggampet CI YRK Srinivas, who arrested the accused, Gandepalli SI UV Shiva Naga Babu, PSI Kirlampudi M Raju, A Veera Babu and Krupa Rao, who participated in the investigation, and District SP G. Bindu Madhav, IPS., congratulated the staff. The above accused were produced in the Peddapuram JFCM Court with a remand report and remanded to 14 days and were sent to Rajahmundry Central Jail.
