A dharna was organized under the leadership of PDSU student union in Charla Mandal Ambedkar Center demanding that for the degree students should be set up a degree examination center in Charla. PDSU Division Convener Munigala Shiva said that the poor students in the agency are facing many difficulties and are continuing their studies. He said that Bhadrachalam is 53 kilometers away from Charla and if students go to Bhadrachalam to write exams, they will have to face many serious problems, especially financial, health and transportation problems. He said that the effect will seriously affect the future of the students. He said that we strongly condemn this. PDSU will not stand idly if student’s lives are affected much. Still, the concerned authorities intervened and demanded that a degree examination center be set up in Charla in view of the difficulties faced by the students. He warned that the authorities themselves should be held responsible if exam center is not set up. Students Saiteja, Sandeep, Omkar, Mahesh, Nandini, Anusha, Jitendra, Hemalatha, Mani Ratnam, Sudharani, Nikita and others participated in this program.
