People’s Pulse Research Institute has analysed the exit polls that people are strongly opposed to the ruling BJP on issues such as rising prices of essential commodities, unemployment, poor roads in rural areas, fresh water problem in urban areas, etc. It is because of this opposition that the BJP has predicted the possibility of losing power.

The Congress was able to reach the people widely through the ‘40% Sarkar’ commission slogan, which was done by the present BJP government to eradicate corruption. The attractive manifesto announced by the Congress party has benefited the party.

Election analysts predict that the increase in cylinder prices, increase in petrol and diesel have contributed to BJP’s loss of power in the Karnataka assembly elections.

Congress is leading in most of the SC and ST reserved seats. Congress is leading with 43 percent votes in the state as a whole. BJP secured 36.1 percent votes. JDS got 13 percent votes. Congress has a clear lead in 119 seats so far. But till the end the results will be exciting.
