NOB- Bhadradri Kothagudem news: In Bhadradri Kothagudem district, State Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari said that action plan should be prepared to prevent water shortage in the coming summer. On 19.02.2025, the Chief Secretary held a review meeting with the Collectors, Additional Collectors and District Officers of all districts through video conference from Hyderabad and other Chief Secretaries on issues such as irrigation water, drinking water, power supply to the construction sector without interruption, farmer assurance, irrigation water supply for the Rabi season, urea shortage, issuance of ration cards, and visits to residential schools. Speaking on the occasion, the State Chief Secretary said that in view of the upcoming summer, an action plan should be prepared and implemented in a planned manner so that drinking water is not a problem for the people and water is provided continuously. It was said that projects and tanks should be reviewed and preventive measures should be taken without any irrigation water problem for the Rabi season. The government is taking many steps for the welfare of farmers in agricultural cultivation, and in this context, there should be no shortage of urea. Steps should be taken to ensure that there is no interruption in the supply of electricity to agriculture, drinking water and construction sector during the summer. Steps should also be taken to provide farmer assurance to every eligible farmer. It was instructed to the officials to take steps to issue ration cards to all those eligible in the applications received for ration cards in public administration. District officials should visit Gurukul schools and identify the problems in the schools and take steps to resolve them immediately. District Collector Jitesh V. Patil, Additional Collector D. Venugopal, Additional Collector of Local Bodies Vidya Chandana ZP CEO Nagalakshmi and district officials attended from the video conference hall of the IDOC office. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that steps are being taken to ensure that there is no interruption in the supply of electricity to the agriculture sector, drinking water and construction sector in the district and that necessary steps are being taken after reviewing the electricity consumption in the district with the officials. Steps were being taken as per the government orders to provide the scheme to all those eligible under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, and that the applications received in the public administration for ration cards are being reviewed at the field level in coordination with the concerned officials and steps are being taken to provide them to all those eligible as soon as the code of conduct for the election of members of the Legislative Council is over. A program is being prepared in coordination with the authorities to provide water to the remote areas of the district without any problem of drinking water to the people during the summer. District Agriculture Department Officer Baburao, Mission Bhagiratha E.E.L. Thirumalesh, Nalini, District Electricity Department Officer G. Mahender, Irrigation Department E.E. Ramprasad, Civil Supplies Department Officers Trinath Babu, Rukmini, Kothagudem Municipal Commissioner Seshanjana Swamy, concerned officials and others participated in this program.
