NOB- Telangana news: Two more farmers committed suicide in the state. One in Khammam district due to lack of irrigation water, another in Janagama district due to debt. Nerusala Yellaiah (45) of Lachchagudem village in Chintakani mandal of Khammam district had taken three acres of land on rent while continuing his livelihood as a tractor driver. The land was flooded due to lack of water in the stream next to the land. Unable to save the crop and not knowing how to repay the investment of Rs. 2 lakh, he committed suicide by consuming pesticide in the field due to deep depression Pandyala Buchaiah (51) of Solipuram village in Taripugopula mandal of Janagama district had borrowed up to Rs. 14 lakh and invested it. He committed suicide infront of his field due to grief over insufficient crop yield and not knowing how to pay off debts. Farmers are expressing their grief that the series of suicides reminds them of the plight of the people before the advent of Swarajya.
