Mahabubabad Town Police under the direction of Mahabubabad Task Force Police and Mahabubabad Town Police on the orders of higher authorities have conducted a special vigil on Cricket Betting for the last few days and on 21.04.2023 on reliable information against persons conducting illegal cricket betting raids were conducted in which out of the (08) gang members (05) arrested, while the other three persons managed to escape.
Singaneedi Chiranjeevi @BK, Posham Srinivas and Ganji Chaitanya of Guntur district who are the main accused in the betting, they arranged betting through chain linking system and arranged betting in Guntur, Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh, Mahbubabad and Khammam districts of Telangana. In this sequence, Kata Sudhakar, Srikanth Yadav, Battini Uday, Mallam Vamsikrishna, and MD Rizwan from Mahabubabad area would call Singaneedi Chiranjeevi during an IPL cricket match and find out the rating. Then Singaneedi Chiranjeevi notes how much money they have bet on the said team as betting on the team of their choice. Ganji Chaitanya, of Khammam, comes to Mahabubabad town and collects cash from Kata Sudhakar, Srikanth Yadav, Battini Uday, Mallam Vamsikrishna, and MD Rizwan and gives it to Posham Srinivas of AP State. Posham Srinivas, Vangineedi Chiranjeevi will be given to @BK. This has been done for some time now. As part of betting, money is given to the winning person in the same order.
Poker, cockfighting, patta, matka, online/offline betting, there is no place in Mahabubabad district. In the past, two cases were filed against Rizwan, Sudhakar and Vamsi regarding IPL betting.So this time the sheets will be opened against them. We will open the sheets against all those who have special and indirect relations with this. We will also file a PD act against those who are exploiting innocent poor and middle class people in the form of betting.
