NOB-Badlapur news: The Thane Crime Branch police are investigating a recent complaint filed by Akshay Shinde’s ex-wife. As part of this, the accused was taken into custody from Taloja Jail around 5.30 pm on 23.09.2024. Sweeper Akshay Shinde, who was recently accused of sexually assaulting two girls of 4 years old in a school, was killed in police firing on 23.09.2024. According to preliminary information, Shinde grabbed a revolver from a police officer and fired two to three rounds as the vehicle approached Mumbra Bypass while being taken to Thane for questioning. A policeman was also injured in the firing. As the police opened fire, Shinde was seriously injured. He was immediately rushed to Kalva Hospital where he died.
