
NOB – Balasore news: Officials said that more than 300 people died in the train accident at Balasore in Odisha and another 900 injured were shifted to hospitals in different areas. It is known that the loss of life may increase further. Three trains collided at the same time causing huge loss of life. Railway officials say that this is a big accident that happened in recent times. The Railway Minister said that a high-level investigation is being conducted into the circumstances leading to the incident.
Initially, the Coromandel Superfast train going from Howrah to Chennai was given a green signal on the main line, but why it went to the loop lines. Even the railway officials are not able to understand it. But the Coromandel train running on the loop line collided with the goods train standing in front of it, causing a huge accident. All the bogies rose up in the wind and fell on the adjacent main track. Due to this, another super fast train coming from Yeswantapur was in danger. The three trains rammed into each other in moments, killing many before the passengers realized what had happened. Hundreds of people were injured. The corpses turned into piles. A train which was supposed to reach its destination safely turned into a deadly wreck near Balasore. This incident made the whole country sleepless. When Prime Minister Modi came to know about the matter, he expressed shock.
The opposition has demanded the resignation of Railway Minister Vaishnav over the loss of hundreds of lives. The Prime Minister held a high-level review of the incident with the railway officials. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also participated in this meeting. While the Railway Minister was already at the site of the meeting, the Prime Minister also visited the incident site. Visited the injured receiving treatment in Cuttack. It was a terrible incident and the central government announced 2 lakhs to the families of the deceased and 50 thousand rupees to the injured. Tamil Nadu CM Stalin announced Rs. 5 lakh to each family of the deceased and Rs. 1 lakh to each of the injured.
Help lines have been set up at all stations from Kolkata to Chennai and Bangalore. Relatives are searching for passengers from Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru and Vijayawada in AP. But many are reported to be safe.
