
NOB- Jharkhand news: Bird flu spreads rapidly in Jharkhand. As a result, the state government has banned the sale of chicken and eggs. The Jharkhand government has been alerted after cases of bird flu were found in a government poultry farm in Ranchi. At the same time, around 2195 birds including 1745 chickens and 450 ducks were ordered to be killed at Government Poultry Farm Hotwar after chickens and ducks were found to be carrying bird flu virus. The government alerted the entire state after the H5N1 bird flu was diagnosed in Hotwar, Ranchi. At present, a containment zone has been set up in Ranchi. The administration team ordered that any chickens, ducks and eggs found within 1 kilometer should be brought here and destroyed. Like normal viruses, this virus is capable of infecting animals, birds as well as humans. So, soon after bird flu was diagnosed in a government poultry farm in Ranchi, 6 employees including 2 doctors of the poultry farm working there were quarantined. Apart from that, the surrounding areas of the poultry farm have been declared as containment zone. On the other hand, all precautions were taken to prevent the spread of bird flu from Ranchi to other cities. The government immediately banned the sale of chicken and eggs in Ranchi’s Hotwar area. Apart from that, bringing and transporting chickens from one place to another has also been banned. Doctors advised not to eat chicken and eggs at the same time.
