NOB- Suryapet news: As part of the conduct of the Parliament elections, the district police has set up integrated check posts along the inter-state and inter-district borders to prevent the smuggling of illegal money, liquor, valuables and drugs and conduct round-the-clock vehicle checks. As a part of this, Inter-District Border Integrated Check Post established at Tekumatla on National Highway 65 Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway under Suryapet Rural Police Station is being maintained. As a part of drug prevention, on 29.04.2024 by the orders of District SP Rahul Hegde IPS, the district police narcotic dog Rolex conducted vehicle checks. This Rolex dog is adept at detecting narcotic drugs. Earlier in the All India Police Duty Meet, the dog won the Rolex prize in the narcotics category.
