World Health Organisation’s Chief Scientist, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan says that, pandemic situation is not going to change overnight even after the vaccine comes. We need to prepare ourselves physically as well as mentally for another 2 years for the pandemic. Vaccine is expected by middle of next year if everything goes accordingly.

But once it has been prepared, it is likely to be given to the frontline warriors , healthcare workers and elderly people. It takes atleast 2 years to get vaccinated to entire population.

In a discussion with SICCI-360(Southern India Chamber of Commerce & Industry), she said that globally virus is spreading very fastly than it was in last few months. 3 lakh new infections and 6000 deaths are added every day.

So, it is very important to keep distance because aerosol spreading is found very affective these days. People should strictly follow 4Cs

1. C          -Closed ,unventilated spaces avoiding
2. C          -Crowded places avoiding
3. C          -Close physical contact avoiding
4. C          -Clusters of infection identification & stopping them before they start spreading Other community.
