Diwali dhamaka loot by Mellon Trust app – India

A young man from Kopparapalem village of Ballikurava mandal paid Rs.600 in an app. After ten days of depositing at the rate of Rs.30 per day, he paid some more cash. He opened two accounts simultaneously when he saw the advertisement that Diwali double dhamaka. He paid Rs.90 thousand at the rate of Rs.45 thousand. He is now in a confused state as there is no facility to withdraw cash from the app from the next day and the app is completely non-functional for the next two days.

Hundreds of people were cheated in Ballikurava and other mandals in Bapatla district in the name of Mellon Trust App. Those who have invested hundreds of rupees are believed to get thousands of rupees and those who have invested thousands of rupees are believed to be credited with profits of lakhs of rupees in their accounts. People believed in those words and invested huge amounts in rural areas. There are more than 200 victims in Kopparapalem village alone. Cash of Rs. lakhs was deposited in instalments to the accounts in the app. At present, the app is not working since five days and the victims are lamenting as the money has not been credited to their accounts. They are stuck not knowing whom to complain and whom to contact.

A bonus of Rs.200 was announced for those who added to the app. As a bonus of Rs.200 is given to a person who is a member of Melon Trust and the details of a new person including Aadhaar and PAN cards are included in the app, those who have already joined it competed to introduce new people to the app. With this, the number of people joining the app has increased. Although the app is not available in the Google Play Store, it was downloaded by just sharing the link on WhatsApp. App administrators have also given online advertisements that if you pay Rs.600 once, you will pay Rs.30 per day for a whole year, and if you pay Rs.1500, you will get Rs.75 per day, and if you withdraw Rs.9, 000, you will get Rs.459 per day. Those who are already using the app have been credited with the money as they were told and included in the advertisement. Seeing the evidence, people installed the app in large numbers to join the app. Cash has been deposited regularly for some time every day according to the selected package between 9 am and 5 pm. After Diwali, the app stopped working and the victims broke down in tears.

On the occasion of Diwali, the organizers of the app have advertised double dhamaka. It is hoped that if you deposit money on Diwali, you will get double the amount of money received in the past. Since 50 days, every day with regular cash deposits in the accounts of the beneficiaries, everyone believed. The victims made thousands of rupees deposit. Payments stopped from the day after Diwali. Although the app shows cash in the victim’s account, there is no option to withdraw it. Messages are getting that it will take two or three days to withdraw the money due to technical problem. After those three days the app is not opening on the phone. People belonging to poor families are expressing their grief that they have deposited their hard earned money with the hope that money will come and now they have been robbed like this.
