NOB- Suryapet news: Under the supervision of Suryapet District Police, an awareness conference was organized for students on drug eradication in Suryapet town, SV Degree College Auditorium on 10.09.2024. District SP Sunpreet Singh IPS was the chief guest and spoke to the students. He explained about the importance of youth role to avoid drug eradication. The SP said that youth and students are the wealth and future of the country, so there should be a change in the students and youth and they should be responsible for the elimination of drugs. He said that we have formed anti-drug teams in all the colleges across the district, these teams should work to eliminate drugs in educational institutions and provide information to the authorities. He said that due to the use of drugs, the body loses energy and youth will lose a good future. He said that drug addicts will get a bad name in the society. Drugs like ganja, cocaine and heroin will make us lose everything, he said, which will weaken the youth of our country. Drug use, transportation and supply is a serious crime. Give information about the students and youth who are addicted to drugs, we will give counseling to them, we will work hard to change them. He said that it is the responsibility of all of us to eliminate drugs in our society. He said that do not believe anyone when they say that if you take drugs, you will be active in studies and exams, you should not, you should understand that they will make you intoxicated and ruin your life. He is confident that students will stay away from these, he said that students and youth should participate in eradicating the evils, crimes and attacks caused by drugs in the society and should stay away from drugs. He said that people should be alert because they encourage them to commit crimes by making them addicted to drugs. He said that cybercrimes are another big problem in the society now, cyber criminals hope for freebies and cause financial loss, if OTPs and PIN numbers are given then money is lost from the bank account. SP asked not to tell personal details if strangers contact them on phone. Along with cultural programs, the Police Art Team created awareness on drug eradication and cyber fraud. DSP Ravi, Suryapet Town Inspector Rajasekhar, SV College Principal Venkateshwarlu, Uttam Upadyayu Ramesh, SIs, college students, teachers and police personnel were present in this program.
