NOB-New Delhi news: The Enforcement Directorate ED issued summons to Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra on 27.03.2024 evening. The notices stated that she will attend the hearing on 28.03.2024 as part of the case of violation of the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Dubai-based businessman Darshan Hirananda has also been summoned. Meanwhile, despite the ED issuing summons to Mahua two times earlier in the case of diversion of questions, she did not attend the hearing. In the same case on 23.03.2024, CBI conducted searches in Mahua’s residences and offices. Recently ED has issued summons to her for the third time. The Lokpal has directed the CBI to investigate Mahua in the case of allegations that she took concessions to ask questions in Parliament.
