NOB- Mahabubabad news: A fatal road accident took place in Mahabubabad district on the Khammam-Warangal national highway. A fire broke out in the lorry cabin and three were burnt alive. Another is gasping for breath. The accident took place when two lorries were speeding and collided head on. The accident took place at Ellampeta stage in Maripeda mandal of Mahabubabad district. The lorry was going from Vijayawada to Gujarat with a load of poultry material. The granite-laden lorry was going from Warangal to Khammam. The incident took place in the early hours of 04.07.2025 when the two lorries collided at high speed. On receiving information, police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot and controlled the fire. The bodies burnt alive in the cabin were taken out and shifted to the mortuary. In the wake of this accident, there was a heavy traffic jam on the Khammam-Warangal highway.
