NOB- Kurnool news: A major fire accident took place in Kurnool district. A bus belonging to Vemuri Kaveri Private Travels was completely burnt down at Chinnatekuru in Kallur mandal. The fire is believed to have occurred at 3.30 am on 24.10.2025. Initially, the fire broke out in the front of the bus. Then the fire gradually spread throughout the bus. As the fire broke out, 12 passengers broke the emergency door and escaped with minor injuries. The injured were taken to Kurnool Hospital. The incident took place when the bus was going from Bengaluru to Hyderabad. It is reported that there were 40 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. Heavy rains lashed the area where the accident took place. However when the bus, which was going from Hyderabad, reached Ulindakonda on the outskirts of Kurnool city, it was hit by a two-wheeler coming from behind. The petrol tank of the two-wheeler leaked and caught fire. The bike went under the bus and caught fire. Some of the passengers who were already sleeping got out. Others got caught in the fire and died. It seems that most of the passengers were from Hyderabad. Kurnool SP responded to this incident.
