
NOB- Hyderabad news: The police have busted a huge prostitution gang operating in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The Commissioner’s Task Force and Banjara Hills police jointly raided this racket, which is based in a prominent hotel in the city, and arrested the men along with the managers. Three women, including a young woman from Uzbekistan, were rescued from the captivity of this gang. According to the police, they received a tip-off that prostitution was taking place at the R-Inn Hotel on Banjara Hills Road No. 12. Following this, the Task Force police, along with the local police, conducted a surprise raid on rooms 111 and 112 of the hotel. In this raid, the main manager, MD Sharif, was arrested. Along with him, seven prostitutes and the hotel receptionist were also detained. The police identified all the prostitutes as residents of Kurnool. Preliminary investigation revealed that MD Sharif, the owner of the ‘Style Maker Salon’, was running this racket targeting economically backward and unemployed young women. The police revealed that he was forcing them into prostitution by promising them large salaries and commissions. Rs. 5,950 in cash, 13 mobile phones and 12 unused condom packets were seized from the accused. The arrested accused and the seized property have been shifted to Banjara Hills Police Station for further investigation. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
