NOB-Kolkata news: A five-storied building collapsed in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. In this incident, nine people died and 17 people were seriously injured. The accident took place in Garden Reach area on 17.03.2024 night. Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakeem said that relief workers are trying to pull out those trapped under the rubble. The mayor revealed that the promoter of the construction company has been arrested in connection with the incident. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went to the spot and supervised the relief efforts. On this occasion, she warned that strict action will be taken against illegal constructions.
