Later, India chased down the huge target of 339 runs in 48.3 overs for the loss of 5 wickets and registered a remarkable victory. Jemimah Rodrigues (127 not out) lit up India’s victory with a century, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur (89) played a key innings. The pair put on a partnership of over 180 runs and took the team to the edge of victory. Among the Australian batsmen, Leachfield (119; 17 fours, 3 sixes in 93 balls) scored a century, while Ellyse Perry (77) excelled with a half-century. Despite Ashlyn Gardner (63) playing aggressively in the end, the Aussies were all out due to the final blows of the Indian bowlers.
