NOB- New Delhi news: President Draupadi Murmu has appointed new governors for nine states, Rashtrapati Bhavan sources said on 27.07.2024 evening.

1) Haribau Kishan Rao Bagde as Governor of Rajasthan,

2) Jishnu Dev Varma as Governor of Telangana,

3) Om Prakash Mathur as Governor of Sikkim,

4) Santosh Kumar Gangwar as Governor of Jharkhand,

5) Ramen Deka as Governor of Chhattisgarh,

6) It is reported that CH Vijay Shankar has been appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya.

7) CP Radhakrishnan as the Governor of Maharashtra,

8) Gulab Chand Kataria was appointed as the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh.

9) Laxman Prasad Acharya was appointed as the Governor of Assam. Laxman Prasad Acharya has been given additional charge as Governor of Manipur.

Jishnu Dev Varma has been appointed as the Governor of Telangana. He is the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura. He will replace the current in-charge Governor CP Radhakrishnan. Jishnudev was born on August 15, 1957 and belongs to the royal family. He has a wife and two sons. Joined BJP in early 1990s. Participated in Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Between 2018-23 he served as Deputy Chief Minister and President of Tripura Badminton Association.
