NOB- Hyderabad news: As per the promise given in the AP Bifurcation Act, the Center is taking steps towards keeping its promise of establishing a tribal university in Telangana.It is known that both houses have approved this bill recently. Recently, Sammakka Sarakka Tribal University was granted legitimacy.
Central Universities Act- Lok Sabha on the 7th of December 2023 and Rajya Sabha on the 13th December 2023 approved the amendment bill introduced by the Education Department adding the name of Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University which is being established in Mulugu, Telangana in 2009. President Draupadi Murmu gave her seal of approval to that bill on 18.12.2023. This bill has become a law. The Department of Justice has issued a gazette notification to this effect. It is known that the central government is establishing this university as per the promise given in the Andhra Pradesh Partition Act- 2014. Rs.889.07 crore will be spent in two phases in seven years. It is known that this amount will be provided in the form of the budget of the Central Education Department.
