Key Maoist leaders were killed in firing by security forces. The encounter took place in the Lankapalli forest area of ​​Usuru block in Bijapur district. It is reported that 8 Maoists, including Maoist Central Committee member Chandranna and S.Z.C. member Bundy Prakash, were killed in this firing. However, the police authorities are yet to make a statement on the deaths in the encounter. The search operation is currently ongoing. Meanwhile. There has been tension in Bijapur district on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border since 08.05.2025 morning. It seems that the security forces who went for combing on 07.05.2025 were confronted by ten Maoists. It is reported that Maoist Central Committee member Chandranna was also among them. This matter is yet to be confirmed. Civil rights groups are also investigating this encounter. Chandranna is a very important leader. Chandranna and State Secretary Damodar are playing a key role in the leadership regarding Telangana. It seems that the entire operation in the caves in Karregutta was carried out under Chandranna’s leadership. It is against this backdrop that Chandranna was also reported to have died in this encounter. But the security forces and the police are not yet confirming this. However, it is known that Telangana leaders, Minister Seethakka and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy have recently said in a media chat that Operation Kagar has nothing to do with Telangana.
