NOB- Uttar Pradesh news: A major accident has taken place in the state of Uttar Pradesh. A fire broke out in a double-decker bus going from Delhi to Bihar at Kisanpath near Mohanlalganj in Lucknow. Five passengers were burnt alive in this accident. It is reported that there were more than 60 passengers in the bus at the time of the fire. Since it was early in the morning, most of the passengers were asleep. Five people died at the time of the accident. The passengers were confused as smoke suddenly spread in the traveling bus. They panicked and did not know what to do. Locals and passengers who noticed this informed the police and fire department. Those who were on the front side of the bus were able to get out quickly, but those at the back were unable to get out as the emergency door did not open. Also, the passengers had difficulty getting out due to the additional seat being set up near the driver’s seat. This caused a fire and injured the passengers. Eyewitnesses said that the entire bus was completely burnt within 10 minutes of the fire. In this incident, the bus driver and conductor jumped out of the bus immediately after the accident. Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade tried to put out the fire with six fire engines. Despite working hard to control the fire for a long time, five people were burnt alive, leaving behind a tragedy. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
