The villagers set fire to the house of the accused in this inhumane incident. Later it was announced that the accused’s family would be evicted from the village. Police have arrested four accused so far in connection with the most inhumane incident.

After two women were paraded naked, the whole country is strongly condemning the news that one of them was gang-raped. Recently, locals burnt the house of 32-year-old Huirem Hirdos Maiti, who is the main accused in this incident. Later it was announced that his family would be expelled from the village. It seems that this decision was taken by the villagers in anger when there was a lot of criticism all over the country.
