Railway officials have issued notices to remove 400 year old mosque

NOB- New Delhi news: Railway authorities have issued notices to two mosques in the national capital to remove the illegal constructions on their premises. They warned that if the encroachments are not removed within the stipulated time, appropriate action will be taken as per the Railway Act. Northern Railway officials have issued notices to Bengali Market Mosque and Babar Shah Takiya Mosque in Delhi to remove the illegal constructions on government land within 15 days. It is said that the managers of the illegal buildings, temples, mosques and other places of worship encroaching on the railway lands have been given notices to be removed.

It has been revealed that the encroachments should be removed within the stipulated time and if not, the railway administration will take appropriate action. It has been clarified that they are not responsible for the damage caused during the removal of illegal structures. However, it is noteworthy that the authorities have issued notices to the 400-year-old Baba Shah Takia Masjid claiming that their land has been encroached upon.

Meanwhile, it is known that in the past the railway authorities have issued similar notices to Hanuman too. On February 13, railway officials in Madhya Pradesh issued an order to Anjaniputra saying, ‘You are occupying the government space.If you do not vacate immediately, we will take action’. In the course of railway broad gauge work in Sabalgarh area of Morena district, the officials found that the area where the Hanuman temple is located is the railway area. A notice was issued to Hanuman temple asking him to remove it immediately. The notice stated that the cost of its demolition and restoration of the place will also be collected from Hanuman. Railway official Manoj Kumar said that the notice was issued in the name of God by mistake and new notices will be issued in the name of the temple priest.
