Prime Minister Modi in making India as Atmanirbhar Bharat, given an agenda for farm sector that is India should become self-sufficient in farming sector by modernising it. To become global leader, use of technology in agriculture sector is necessary. This was addressed in the first physical meeting of governing council of NITI Aayog held at Rastrapathi Bhawan cultural centre New Delhi today. Technology gives ease of living, transparency in delivery services and life quality improvement. For production of edible oil India should become self-sufficient PM said.
The four agendas of this meeting were
- Diversification of crops and achieving self-sufficiency in oil seeds, pulses and agricultural commodities production.
- National Education Policy implementation in schools
- National education policy implementation in higher education and
- Urban governance.
