
NOB-Chennai news: Tollywood senior actress Pushpalatha (87) passed away in Chennai. Family members revealed that she breathed her last on 04.02.2025 evening due to old age, residing at Tirumala Pillai Road in T. Nagar. Pushpalatha acted in more than 100 films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Pushpalatha made her debut on the silver screen with the film Sengottai Singam, which was released in 1958. She then appeared as the heroine in the film Kongunattu Thangam in 1961. She acted opposite to actor AVM Rajan in the film Nanum Oru Pen. She acted in films like Yugapurushudu, Rajputra Rahasyam, Srirama Pattabhishekam and Kondaveeti Simham. Pushpalatha acted opposite NTR in the film Ramu produced by AVM. Apart from Telugu, Pushpalatha acted in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages. She entered the Hindi film industry in 1963 with the film Main Bhi Lucky Hoon. After that, she also acted in the Malayalam film Nurse. She played key roles in films like Sakalakala Vallabhan and Naan Adimai Illai. She acted in more than 100 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
