NOB- Meerpet news: Acting on Technical evidence and specific information, the sleuths of Meerpet Police, LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda Commissionereate busted missing case in Cr.No. 81/2025, U/head Woman Missing of PS Meerpet, on 18.01.2025.

Smt. Putta Venkata Madhavi W/o Guru Murthy, Age: 35 years, Occ: Housewife, R/o H No: 10-149/2/D, Plot No: 03, New Venkateshwara Colony, Jillelaguda, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District N/o Jellivari Pullala Cheruvu Village (JP Cheruvu), Racharla Mandal, Prakasham District.    

Details of suspect/Accused

Putta Guru Murthy S/o Late Krishna Murthy, Age: 39 years, Occ: Ex-servicemen, R/o H No: 10-149/2/D, Plot No: 03, New Venkateshwara Colony, Jillelaguda, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District N/o Jellivari Pullala Cheruvu Village (JP Cheruvu), Racharla Mandal, Prakasham District.

Brief facts of the case:

Brief facts of the case are that on 18.01.2025 at 13:00 hours received a complaint from mother of missing woman Smt. Kuppala Subbamma W/o Venkataramana, Age: 50 years, Occ: Housewife,  R/o Dandupally Village, Manoharabad Mandal, Medak District, N/o Jellivari Pullala Cheruvu Village (JP Cheruvu), Racharla Mandal, Prakasham District, Ph No: 9100306838 who came to the police station and lodged a complaint by stating that she has three daughters, among whom her eldest daughter, Putta Venkata Madhavi, resides in Jillelaguda village with her husband and two children. On 16-01-2025 at around 8:00 AM, there was quarrel took place between her daughter Venkata Madhavi and her husband Gurumurthy. Feeling upset, her daughter Madhavi left the house on 16-01-2025 at around 12:00 PM without informing anyone. Immediately, they searched the surrounding areas and inquired with relatives but could not find any clue about her whereabouts. Her daughter has not returned home. Her daughter is about 5 feet tall, with a fair complexion. The complainant requested for necessary action. During the enquiry, upon verification of CCTV Footages of house owner, noticed that on 15.01.2025 at 22:41 hours the accused Putta Gurumurthi and his wife Smt. Venkata Madhavi went to inside of their house, later there is no evidence of his wife Venkata Madhavi going outside as seen in the CCTV footages, it is clearly shows that the accused might have murdered his wife inside of the house. On 28.01.2025, on suspicious grounds, the accused Gurumurthi brought to PS and enquired him, wherein he confessed that on 14.01.2025 in the morning hours, he went to attend his duties at DRDL, Kanchan Bagh, returned home in the afternoon, freshened up, and then took his wife Madhavi and their two children to celebrate Sankranti festival at his elder sister Sujatha’s house at Badangpet. On the same day, they left the children at his sister’s house and returned to their home in New Venkateshwara Colony, Jillelaguda for the night. On next day, 15.01.2025, they visited his sisters house in Badangpet again. That day too, they left their children at his sister’s place and returned home around 10:30 PM. Both of them slept at their home that night.

On 16th January 2025 at around 8:00 AM, he woke up from sleep and started argument with his wife and he got angry and with the intent to kill her he slapped her hardly due to which she pressed against the wall and collapse to the floor, immediately he strangled her until she lost consciousness, later he realized she was no longer alive and confirmed her death and decided to cover up the murder. He set on to dispose of her body without knowing any trace and planned to mislead her parents and relatives into believing that she had left the house. Later, he carried his wife’s body to the bathroom removed the clothes she was wearing and threw them on the bed in the bedroom. He then brought a knife from the kitchen and first cut near both shoulders, severed both legs at the waist, followed by cutting his wifes arms and legs into smaller parts, which he placed in a bucket. He then heated water using a water heater, boiled the parts, and later burnt them on the single burner gas stove. After burnt, he crushed the bones with a stone roller into powder. The bone powder and small pieces of flesh were disposed of in the toilet, flushed with water in several times, and any remaining small bones (Remnants) were kept in the household trash bin, intending to dispose of them later. To minimize the foul smell while burning, he kept the doors and kitchen windows open. It took him approximately 10:00 AM to around 6:00 PM to cut into pieces and dispose of the body. Afterward, he cleaned the bathroom by using detergent and phenyl to remove any traces of evidence. He murdered his wife inhumanly. Basing on confession of the accused Putta Guru Murthi, on 28.01.2025 the section of law has been altered from Woman Missing to U/sec. 103(1), 238 and 85 BNS and effected his arrest.

1) Stove, 2) Knife, 3) Roller, 4) Roller Stone, 5) Bucket, 6) Water Heater, 7) Deceased Cloths (Chudidhar & Legging), 8) Accused Short (Black Color), 9) Phenyl Bottle, 10) Room freshener, 11) Surf packet, 12) Acid Bottle, 13) Door mat, 14) Scrap Bucket, 15) Motor Cycle and 16) Mobile phones two.          The above arrest was made under the direct supervision of G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda and the under guidance of Ch. Praveen Kumar, IPS, DCP LB Nagar Zone, by B. Koteshwara Rao, Additional DCP, LB Nagar Zone, P. Kasi Reddy, ACP, Vanasthalipuram Division.  And the good work done by K. Nagaraju, Inspector of Police, Y. Gowru Naidu, DI and team K. Sudhakar SI, M. Rajashekhar SI and Crime team of PS Meerpet. They were appreciated by CP and they may be awarded suitable awards.
