Recently Sri Lanka is facing financial crisis and inflation, and the nation is waiting for a miracle to happen to turn the situation into a positive way. The election of new president as Ranil Wickremesinghe again may or may not help out as per some protests. And the situation may not allow Ranil to be elected so the centre lawmakers voting was done in Colombo in a secret ballot to not to outrage public of the economic collapse. This was the sixth time Ranil was elected as president. The protesters were shouting anti-government slogans due to this election. Protesters are demanding Ranil to step down and leave from presidential secretariat premises.
