NOB- Telangana news: State Election Commission Commissioner Rani Kumudi has ordered strong arrangements for the receipt of nominations for local body elections. The State Election Commission Commissioner reviewed the conduct of local body elections with the Collectors of all districts through video conference on 08.10.2025 evening. District Collector M. Haritha participated. Speaking on this occasion, State Election Commission Commissioner Rani Kumudi suggested that the first phase election notification regarding MPTC and ZPTC elections should be released by 10.30 am on 09.10.2025. Along with issuing the notification, the details of the voter list within the MPTC and ZPTC limits should be published. She said that nominations should be received from 10:30 am to 5 pm every day from the 9th to the 11th of October 2025. She said that necessary arrangements should be made to file nominations for MPTC and ZPTC seats with the relevant returning officers and full security should be provided at each nomination center. She instructed the district election officers to make arrangements so that the receipt of nominations, scrutiny, resolution of appeals, allocation of symbols and announcement of contesting candidates are carried out in a proper manner. In the context of local body elections, Collector M. Haritha said that a notification will be issued for the first phase of MPTC and ZPTC elections in the district. It was revealed that in the first phase, seven ZPTC and 65 MPTC posts will be notified in the district. She said that in the context of the elections, training has already been completed for ROs and AROs and all arrangements have been made for the receipt of nominations. She said that mandal level MCC nodal officers, zonal level officers, FST and SST teams have been appointed and training has been completed.

Boinapalli ZPTC seat, 11 MPTC seats, Chandurthi ZPTC seat, 10 MPTC seats, Rudrangi ZPTC seat, 5 MPTC seats, Vemulawada Urban ZPTC seat, 6 MPTC seats Vemulawada Rural ZPTC seat, 7 MPTC seats Konaraopet ZPTC seat, 12 MPTC seats, Illanthakunta ZPTC seat, 14 MPTC seats. Elections will be held for a total of seven ZPTC seats and 65 MPTC seats. Additional Collector Gaddam Nagesh, Sircilla RDO Venkateshwarlu, ZP CEO Vinod Kumar, DRDO Seshadri, relevant officials and others participated in this meeting.
