
NOB- Suryapet news: District SP Narasimha IPS revealed the details of the arrest and the case at a press conference organized at the District Police Office. The SP was accompanied by DSP Prasanna Kumar, CI Venkatayya, SI Sivateja and police personnel. On 20.07.2025 night, a hole was made in the bathroom wall of a gold shop next to the strong room in Suryapet town and gold was stolen. In connection with this theft, the owner of the jewelry shop complained that 2.5 kg of gold and cash were stolen. Based on the complaint, a case of theft was registered at Suryapet 2nd Town Police Station under crime number 266/2025 and an investigation was carried out by 5 special police teams. The case is under investigation. On 27-07-2025, at 5 am, Suryapet Town Police were conducting checks at the Hi-Tech Bus Stand in Suryapet town when they spotted a woman in a suspicious condition, detained her and interrogated her. She was identified as Mekala Yashoda, husband Srinu, age 30 years, occupation: laborer, residence. Naidupeta, Khammam town. When the woman was detained and handed over, it was found that she had gold ornaments worth about 14 tolas, and this gold was identified as the gold related to the theft at Sai Santoshi Jewelry Shop in Suryapet town, the SP said. The female accused who was taken into custody was further interrogated. She confessed that A1 Prakash Anil Kumar of Nepal and 4 other unidentified persons had committed the theft. She confessed that A1 Prakash Anil Kumar had given her this gold at Khammam on the way to Nepal. She said that if she sold it in Khammam, she would be caught. She left Khammam to sell it in Hyderabad and got off the bus at the Hi-Tech bus stand via Suryapet. At the same time, the police arrested her. A6 accused Amar Bhatt of Nepal was working as a Gurkha in Khammam town. A1 accused Prakash Anil Kumar came to A6 Amar Bhatt a year ago and worked as a Gurkha in Khammam and established a relationship with this woman. She was helping A1 accused who committed the theft financially, giving shelter and helping him commit thefts. In the past, they used to rob banks and jewelry stores in Khammam district. It was basically identified A1 Prakash Anil Kumar, a Nepali, to come to Suryapet, set up a fast food center, and rob a gold shop. Along with him, A7 Amar Butt, a Nepali, working as a Gurkha, decided to roam around Khammam town and rob banks and jewelry stores. It has been confirmed that A7 Amar Butt was also involved in the planning of the theft. The accused, with the intention of making easy money by committing thefts illegally, decided to commit thefts along with A1 Prakash Anil Kumar, A6 Amar Butt, and A7 Yashoda, and they planned to commit thefts in Suryapet, saying that if they did it in Khammam, they would be caught. In the first week of May 2025, the three of them came to Suryapet together and, without finding any evidence, they rented a portion in an ownerless house behind a gold shop on M.G. Road in Suryapet town, claiming to be setting up a fast food center and working as Gurkhas. In order to convince everyone, they went there without any evidence. In the last week of May, they came to Suryapet again and paid the rent for the house and went to Khammam. In this way, they came to Suryapet and stayed in the rented house and went to Khammam. The accused A1 Prakash Anil Kumar, A2 Kadak Singh from Jharkhand and 3 other unidentified persons from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh committed theft at Sai Santoshi Jewellery. The accused confessed to A6 Amar Bhatt and A7 Yashoda that they would steal and sell the gold in other places than Khammam that if they sold it here, they would be suspicious. The accused gave some gold ornaments to A7 for expenses and then went to Nepal. It is said that A1 accused told them that he would give a share after selling the gold in Nepal. It was found that the accused were informed about the steps the police were taking to escape after the theft. According to the confession of the accused, police found that 5 people from Nepal, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh participated in the theft. Police special teams are searching for the next accused, teams are searching for the accused in other states, police will soon catch the accused and recover the property. A1 Prakash Anil Kumar has 3 theft cases in Khammam district in the past. Police are investigating old cases against the remaining accused.

Total: 14 tolas. Police arrested the accused in the case of theft in a jewellery shop in Suryapet and recovered 14 tolas of gold. A Nepali named Amar Bhat, working as a Gurkha in Khammam, along with a local woman, A1 Prakash Anil Kumar planned the theft in Suryapet. The participants in the theft were Nepali A1 Prakash Anil Kumar, Nepali A2 Kadak Singh and three others from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, a total of 5 people were identified as involved. 3 teams are on the lookout in the respective states to catch them.
