NOB-Bhadradi Kothagudem news:  As part of an operation conducted at Bhadradri Kothagudem Police Headquarters, 86 Maoist force members surrendered on 05.04.2025 in front of Multi Zone-1 IGP Chandrasekhar Reddy.The surrendered Maoists are known to be members of Bijapur district and Sukma district. The police have decided to extort money in the name of the Maoist party. They have become an obstacle to the development of tribal areas.With this, the police have launched a special operation. In this context, a large number of Maoist members have surrendered in the last four months. Among the surrendered Maoists, 20 are women and 66 are men.In the last four months, 66 Maoists have been arrested across the district. 203 people surrendered. The IG handed over a cheque of Rs. 25,000 to each surrendered Maoist.Bhadradri Kothagudem District SP Rohit Raj, Mulugu District SP Shabarish and several police officers were present in the program.
