NOB_Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has taken strict action against the misuse of drinking water.
Officials inspected Fore Fathers Pub at Plot No. 872, Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills and found that drinking water was being wasted.
Following the inspection, the Water Board has:
- Imposed a fine of Rs 20,000
- Removed its drinking water connection
- Stopped its commercial water supply
The Board has appealed to the public to use water judiciously. It has especially asked hotels, restaurants, pubs and other commercial establishments to act responsibly and not waste drinking water.
The Board warned that anyone caught wasting water will face heavy penalties, including fines and disconnection of water supply.
HMWSSB has also requested citizens to report any cases of water wastage or misuse. Complaints can be sent with photos, videos, location, and names of persons or establishments involved via WhatsApp to 99499 30003 or by calling customer care at 155313
